Kill Bill Vol.2 (2004)

The saga of Beatrix Kiddo (The Bride) continues...
After Bout with Elle
Her Training with Pai Mei
In this volume she goes after Bill's brother Budd, Elle Driver and conclusively reaches Bill-her former lover and boss. I loved this part more than the previous one,and the one scene that I'll never forget is the coffin scene. Its the most hauntingly beautiful scene I have ever seen in my life. It involves Beatrix being buried into the ground in a coffin alive. When you watch this scene, you will actually feel the chills as the sand is being put on her coffin, you feel suffocated as she suffocates, her panic turns into your panic,Claustrophobia is this whole scene in one word. Her duel with the Master Pai Mei is too good!

My Favorite Burial Scene
Daryl Hannah As Elle Driver

The manner in which she leaves Elle to die is just fantastic,I won't ruin the movie for you. Watch out for the suspense in the end when she finally reaches Bill. The lesser I say about this movie the better it is, I want you to watch it and enjoy it. For the love of God, don't miss this one!

Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003)

(left to right) Elle Driver, Vernita Green, Budd & O-Ren-Ishii

Uma Thurman (Black Mamba) against the Crazy 88
I came across this movie pretty late (just this year) and i regret not watching it before. Uma Thurman (The Bride) was a deadly assassin with the code name "Black Mamba"  of the Viper assassination Squad until she quit and decided to get married. This didn't go well with the squad and their leader "Bill" (his face was not shown during the movie at all), so they decided to kill her and and the whole gathering at the church. But she survives and after waking up from a long coma of 4 years, decides to take revenge against them all for herself and her missing daughter. This Volume involves her dealing with Vernita Green (Vivica Fox) and O-Ren-Ishii (Lucy Liu) in amazing action sequences, total blood shed(Actually cutting off heads and other body parts),catchy background music, and a lot more. The movie was four hours long hence it was divided in to 2 volumes. Watch out for the fight sequence with the "Crazy 88" and the animated story of O Ren Ishii. A pretty crispy movie which will compel you to watch the 2nd volume(which you should),have fun!

Batman Begins (2005)

Batman

Bruce with Ducard training under the league of Shadows
Batman in The final Scene
Billionaire Bruce Wayne had lost his parents when he was kid when they were shot down in front of his very own eyes. He is raised by Alfred(Micheal Caine) who's the family butler(though he is actually like a family member) and his guardian too. As he grows up he runs away from Gotham to learn the ways of the criminal word to avenge his parents. That is when he's  found and trained by Ducard (Liam Neeson) who is a part of a secret group called the League of Shadows  lead by Ra's Al Ghul who believe in destroying Gotham all together because it has reached its near end infested with criminals. Bruce(Christian Bale)  opposes them, destroys their base and escapes to Gotham to turn into the Caped Guardian and Legend of Gotham, Batman! He gets all his cool Gadgets and the Batmobile with help of Lucius Fox(Morgan Freeman). Batman wants to eradicate Gotham's underworld largely governed by Carmine Falcone(Tom Wilkinson) who is aiding Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul in some devious plan. Now its up to the Batman to save Gotham with the help of Jim Gordon(Gary Oldman) and Rachel Dawes(Katie Holmes). I think this story line is good enough for a review it self. Christopher Nolan has directed this one well and given full justice to the movie. Watch out for the Bat mobile chased by the police, amazing scene. The way how Bruce transforms into Batman step by step is amazing, how he turns his fear of bats into his strength. Don't miss Liam Neeson of course, charming and at peace as ever. You have to watch this one to understand Batman and also have a hell of a time!

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Angelina And Brad Pitt : Last scene

You can see Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie on screen in this one. Its a story of how two secret Assassins  marry each other unaware of each others identity and find it out after 5 or 6 years through unfortunate circumstances. And suddenly their boring married life isn't boring anymore, its full of gunfire, rigged elevators, small bombs, big bombs, other secret agents, deceit, bait, knives, bazookas, car chase, and the list never ends. The way they have shown how John and Jane discover their identities really kept me glued to my screen. Its a fun and a light movie. Definitely worth a watch. Their chemistry on screen is fantastic, and maybe this is just me or maybe even you guys felt it,but somewhere I could see Lara Croft here in Angelina's Role as Jane. Watch out for it.

Step Up (2006)

Channing Tatum as Tyler in the Step up Last scene
The first of the popular Step Up Films, this one is unique in its own right. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have this amazing connect and chemistry between them, you can feel them dancing.Tyler has to do community service in a Performing arts school where he meets Nora and agrees to rehearse with her until her partner is back, but as in every successful story, things don't go the way you want them to.
Rehearsals Between Tyler and Nora

The music score in this movie is fantastic!

Back To The Future 3 (1990)

Micheal J.Fox and Christopher Lloyd
Buford Tannen asking his pal what comes after 6
In the end of back to the future 2,Marty watches the doc get electrocuted with the Delorean in the year 1955. Almost instantaneously he gets a mysterious letter which is from the doc who says he got time traveled  to the year 1885 and he is happy with his life there. But a very disturbing discovery compels Marty to go back in 1885 to save his friend and get him back to the year 1985. But as always, its never that easy, they have to battle thugs, party old west style, find love, and as it has always been, return Back to the Future!

The last scene,it upset me a bit since this was the last movie
Watch out for the vivid view of the old west hill valley shown and its apparent  resemblance to the Hill valley of the future. The back ground score in the party scene is lovely.

Back To The Future 2 (1989)

Biff Tannen In alternate 1985
Marty with his mother in the alternate 1985
The sequel for the popular 1st installment begins from the end of the 1st part. Marty is just back from the past but he is taken to the year 2015 by Dr.Emmett Brown to save Marty's son from getting caught and thrown into prison. But not everything goes as planned when the 2015 Biff Tannen goes into the past in 1955 and gives the young biff a book which shows the scores of all the sports till 2015,this book makes him rich since he exactly knows which team to bet on. Now its up to Marty and Dr.Brown to save their present and their past. They save their present and their past too,but this is not the end of adventures for Marty and Dr.Emmett. The last scene tells us that there is going to be an awesome 3rd part to this movie too! The movie is portrayed in such a way that we will be compelled to see the 3rd part. Loved this sequel though it seemed a bit slow in the middle.

Back To The Future 1 (1985)

Marty's Performance on "Johnny Be Good"
Christopher Lloyd & Micheal J. Fox
The year is 1985,a crazy old scientist Dr. Emmett Brown(Christopher Lloyd) creates a time machine in a DeLorean which runs on stolen plutonium. In this process his close and probably only friend Marty Mcfly(Micheal J. Fox) is accidently sent to the year 1955. There he runs into his parents and puts his own existence in jeopardy. Now its up to Marty to take help of the 1955 Dr. Brown and get back to the future as well as help in making his parents meet to save his existence. Watch out for Marty's Performance on "Johnny Be Good" in the end. All in all a great movie, totally worth your time. Revisit these classics. My next post will talk about the sequel to this movie so watch out for it!

Transformers (2007)

Optimus Prime and the Autobots into hiding

The All Spark
Transformers are Alien robots who live on the planet of cybertron. They are divided into two main groups, the Good and rational Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Autobots are led by Optimus Prime and the latter by Megatron. Sam Witwicky has details about the location of "All Spark" unknowingly. All spark is a cube that gave birth to the tranformers and is capable of giving life to any machinery, due to this unique feature of the all spark the decepticons want to use it to raise an army of robots on earth. The story shows how Sam tries to save the all spark and give it to Optimus but encounters the decepticons in the way. The graphics and the background score are inspiring. Megan fox looks sultry and hot as usual. This is a delight for the Tranformer fans. Bumblebee's Radio talk is just hilarious! Watch out for Megatron fighting Optimus scene.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012)

The 3rd installment to the popular Madagascar series doesn't disappoint. This time Alex and his team are off to return to the big apple, but in between they take a detour
to Monte Carlo to get the penguins,in this process they get involved in a crazy run and chase game with the Captain of the animal Control who is hell bent on killing them and keeping their carcasses as spoils of war.
The  Penguins!
As if this wasn't enough, to be inconspicuous from everyone they join a circus to travel around where they run into the fierce tiger Vitaly and the jaguar Gia and obviously the rest of the circus troops.
The comic relief can be seen in every character but King Julian is as usual a must character to look out for,his love story is absolutely hilarious! And lets not forget the penguins, they are the bosses. The way they maneuver whatever they drive is brilliant. The eventful journey of Alex,Marty,Gloria & Melman is what makes this movie always worth it. Watch out for the Circus performance in the end, superb effects and choreography used. Don't miss out on this one, its not only made for kids, its for everybody!

The Afro Circus Dance and song! A must watch!

Men In Black 3 (2012)

A different story line than the previous parts, Men In Black 3 takes you on a joy fall (literally). The starts with Boris the Animal breaking out of a prison in moon, going into the past, and killing Agent K. Due to such circumstances the whole timeline changes and Agent J(Will Smith) is the only one aware of this change, nobody else seems to realize this. So he decides to go into the past in a world where there are 2 Boris the Animal's and a very stubborn & young Agent K(Josh Brolin). The story freakishly unfolds into a well laid out suspense which might get predictable after a while. Watch out for the way Agent J travels into the past, the opening scene with Nicole Scherzinger, and weird predictions of the Griffin. The old Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) doesn't have much of a role in this one sadly but still its totally worth a watch.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)

This movie has tweaked the Story of the 16th president of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln (Benjamin Walker). They have very smartly included vampires in the story. Young Abraham had seen his mother being slain by a vampire. That day he swore revenge. Help came in handy when a vampire named Henry Sturges (Dominic Cooper) trained him on how to kill vampires. The age old weakness of vampires is the same, silver. But with one minor change, a man once turned into a vampire, cannot kill another vampire. Only a mortal human Can. The story goes on to show the life of Mr. Lincoln, how he gets married, how skillfully kills many vampires(the way he kills the slayer of his mother is just brilliant!),gets into the parliament and finds out the diabolical plan of the vampires who aid the enemy of his country. The movie has thrilling scenes involving a fight while jumping on horses, scary scenes showing how the vampires look when they are angry. The movie is a bit short maybe, but its totally worth your penny. Don't miss this one.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

This movie will blow your mind out of proportion! All the expectations we had for the 3rd installment of The Dark Knight were more than fulfilled. With an intriguing plot which links this movie deeply with Batman Begins, there is more than what meets the eye for this movie. The movie begins from where The Dark Knight ended. Batman has taken the fall for dent and has sort of gone incognito after that fateful night. But he has to get back into action after Gotham is taken over by Bane : a powerful terrorist hell bent on destroying Gotham. Cat woman is very alluring and sexy. The movie shows the fall of Bruce Wayne and the rise of the Dark Knight. One can go on and on about this movie and never stop.Just watch it as soon as you can. And one suggestion, watch the previous parts for a more fantastic experience, the suspense of this one is going to leave you spellbound.Christopher Nolan is truly a legendary director. With the backing of a strong cast of Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway; you can only expect a blast of awesomeness in this movie.

Ace Ventura (1994)

Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey) is a highly impulsive "PET" Detective. He has this unconditional love for animals,he's flamboyant, eccentric, but still is a fantastic detective with a great attention to detail. His next big case requires him to find a dolphin who is the mascot for a football team. Ace is bloody fantastic in the mental hospital scene, worth watching 3 times. Lt. Lois Einhorn(Sean Young) is his arch enemy in the police force, their regular activity of taking shots at each other is hilarious.
A must watch movie for those who haven't seen this yet. Jim Carrey at his usual best.

You don't mess with the Zohan (2008)

Adam Sandler is Zohan, a Special Agent for Israel, and by special i mean really special. He is a kind of super soldier who is capable of doing unimaginable things. Things like making a dog toy out of rocks, stopping a bullet with his nose, punching and kicking through walls to catch his not so successful Palestinian counterpart Phantom (John Turturro). But this is not what Zohan wants, he wants peace, he wants to be a hairstylist. So he moves in to New York by faking his death. Trouble ensues over there for him as he falls in love, tries to save a locality from being destroyed and as usual fights phantom. A funny and time pass movie in my opinion. Watch it. Note: It has many scenes kids should not watch, and look out for Mariah Carey. Go Zohan!

Date Night (2010)

How many marriages get boring after a couple of years with the busy work, kids, duties etc? well almost all of them. But its up to the couple how change it or make it worse. This movie exactly shows this when Phil Foster (Steve Carrel) and his wife Claire Foster (Tina Fey) try to get some spice in their monotonous life by dining in the city in a fancy restaurant. Due to no empty tables these two take someone else's reservations after which there is a bad case of mistaken identities, cop chase, pole dances, and lets leave the rest for your movie experience. Not a great movie but surely a one time watch with your friends. Steve is a delight as usual. Comic relief.
